WE MAKE HOUSE CALLS
Clock Repair Service has a mobile clock shop and we come to your home or office for grandfather clock repairs and/or service. We take great pride in our service techniques. When we come to your home or office to repair or service your grandfather clock, we will set up a small repair shop right there in your home or office. We will lay down coverings to protect your floors, set up a table and work area and provide you with the most professional service in the Atlanta area. When we work on your clock we will always wear gloves. Your grandfather clock is made up of several components. The movement is the "engine" that drives the hands and makes the clock chime and strike. Just like the engine in your car, your movement needs clean oil to run properly. Most manufactures recommend that you re-oil every 2 to 3 years and have the clock movement cleaned every 10-12 years.
Grandfather Clock Repair
Our company is one of the few companies that will actually remove the movement from the case and clean and re-oil your movement. Most clock repair companies will come out to your home and take the side panels off the grandfather clock and squirt oil on the sides of the gears. By "oiling" your movement this way, it is improper and further damage will occur. Yes they might get the movement up and running; however, they have not properly oiled the movement and the service you paid for was a quick fix, allowing the oil to run out of the clock . This would be like taking your car to have the oil changed and the mechanic just added a clean quart of oil to your other quarts of dirty oil and your dirty oil filter.
